Premier Services

What do investors expect when engaging a financial advisor?  Simple question, but finding the right “match” is often illusive, if not confusing.  Our response to this question is rather straight forward.  Clients engage Xerxes to help them understand their finances and make good decisions.  The service level engaged determines if our fees will be hourly or asset based.  In either case, our fees are disclosed up front and are completely transparent.  Clients are comforted in knowing that XFG does not collect “soft dollar” income or commissions from any of its vendors.

Xerxes Financial Group, Inc. provides three primary services:
  • Targeted—Financial Consulting & Second Opinion
  • Strategic—Investment/Portfolio Management
  • Comprehensive—Financial Plan
Our Targeted service is a component of traditional Financial Consulting.  It is geared specifically to analyze a portfolio and determine its suitability.  This service is ideal for two groups:

1.   Individuals who wish to understand or validate their current investment plan, and/or
    2.  Other professionals (e.g. CPA’s, Estate Attorney’s, Insurance Agents, etc.) who wish to provide their clients professional asset management services outside their scope of expertise.

The end result to either group is a well thought out “Second Opinion” document using finance, not emotion, to help make good decisions.

Investment and Portfolio Management involves the actual day-to-day decisions in constructing a suitable portfolio for clients.
Our investment criteria does not serve “momentum investors” or “active traders” well, as they usually embrace a short term “buy on the rumor, sell on the news” stragegy.  As “value” investors, we use seven investment strategies (from individual securities to low expense broad based investments) to find opportunity.  Our primary effort is to “squeeze” out as much cash (in the form of dividend) from each position as possible.

We view taking a long position in a specific company amounts to owning a piece of that company.  As owners, therefore, we have a vote on how the company is run, and a vested interest in their success.  We expect to share in the companies gain (or loss).

A good Financial Plan is much more than data entry in "canned" software. A clear understanding of finance is required in order to produce a meaningful Plan with a long shelf life.

Based on our understanding of your specific facts & circumstances, our Financial Plan document covers the following areas:
  1. Net Worth Summary
  2. Investments
    1. Adequacy
    2. Fees
    3. Asset allocation
    4. Risk vs. Return
  3. Risk Management
    1. Insurance
        i.
      Health
       ii.
      Life
      iii.
      Disability
      iv.      Long term care (LTC)
  4. Monthly (Income Statement)
    1. Operating Costs (Cash flow)
    2. 10 year Cash flow
  5. Retirement (Forecasting)
    1. Assets
    2. Income continuity
  6. Legacy
    1. Gifting
    2. Estate planning
    3. Philanthropy
Our Financial Plans are objective, rich in content and void of product solicitation.  This distinction is critical when trusting your finances with someone whose objective might be different from yours.
